New for 2026: Community Gingerbread House Contest

New for 2026, the Tamaqua Arts Center is excited to introduce our Community Gingerbread House Contest & Exhibition!

We thought this would be a fun way to bring families, friends and community members together to create something special for the holiday season. Whether you build a traditional gingerbread house, a local landmark, a village or something completely from your imagination, we can’t wait to see what you create.

As part of this new tradition, we also wanted to honor Linda Yulanavage, who brought so much sweetness, creativity and Christmas cheer to Downtown Tamaqua over the years. We hope this contest is a fitting way to celebrate the joy she brought to our community.

Entry Drop-Off Begins: November 22, 2026
Gingerbread Gallery Opens: November 28, 2026
People’s Choice Voting Begins: November 28, 2026

Entries will be displayed in the Tamaqua Arts Center gallery throughout the holiday season.

All ages and experience levels are welcome. You do not need to be a professional baker — just bring your creativity and have fun with it!
